Innovative Design Framework
At CPI, we are developing a design framework, tailored to meet the complex challenges of the 21st century.
With the Centres forming the High-Value Manufacturing Catapult, we at CPI are at the forefront of establishing an innovative design framework. This framework will be meticulously crafted to address the immense challenges of the 21st century, empowering forward-thinking businesses to innovate and bring to market new chemicals, formulations, materials, products, business models, and supply chains that are Sustainable by Design.
Our forthcoming thought leadership paper on this framework, to be published in September 2024, will delve into the details of this initiative. The initiative, named the Design for Sustainability and Circularity Framework, integrates five key principles 1) Earth's Ecological Ceiling; 2) Social Foundation, 3) Circular Economy Principles, 4) Human Centred Design and 5) Lifecycle Sustainability asessment.
