Doughnut Economics Journey of Knowledge Map
Icebreaker to enable meeting attendees to share in a group activity. It creates an atmosphere of active participation.
This is an interactive tool for use during group meet-ups for attendees to plot how far along the road to a full understanding of Doughnut Economics each person feels they are. Use in Zoom calls via the Screenshare function and ask that attendees use Zoom’s Annotate feature to plot where they are along the line of knowledge between Beginner and Guru. The tool provides for a moment of self-reflection and within a few moments creates a visual snapshot of the whole group’s level of knowledge.
Why use it?
The facilitator needs to understand how to Annotate during Zoom calls in order to guide meeting attendees who do not know how to do this. (To annotate while viewing someone else's shared screen, select View Option from the top of the Zoom window, and then choose Annotate. A toolbar appears with all your options for annotating, including text, draw, arrow, and so forth.)

Enthusiastic and energy spreader are some of the soft skills that makes me a life passionate. Married and father of 2 (10 and 4yo couple), I consider myself a hedonist and an epicurist. Enjoying all the pleasures life have to offer, try to practice a work-hard-play-hard/YOLO positioning. Humanist by heart and Illuminist by mind. Liberal regarding the markets, conservative regarding customs. Love to cook and Lego collector, Benfica supporter

Doughnut Economics is an inspirational text, and I am keen to be part of building it out to change our economy and society. I am the Sustainability lead at SUMS Consulting – we are a not-for-profit membership organisation providing consultancy services to the university sector, mostly in the UK. One aim is to make universities run sustainably and in harmony with their place. Universities are also at the centre of knowledge production and can make big contributions to the paradigm shift through their research, education and ability to bring people together. I hope to learn from this community and share ideas for change – both for my work and for living my own life.

My enchantment and fascination with the natural world began early with a love of animals, who I saw as ambassadors for other worlds. When I was 17, an extended hiking trip in the Wind Rivers of Wyoming sealed the deal. I teach lecture-based and experiential learning courses on sustainability, environmental ethics, ecological integrity, resilience theory, environmental psychology, and transformational learning at various Universities in the Twin Cities. I live in Mahtomedi with my three delightful children and two overly enthusiastic dogs. I consider my house one big art project, and I love to cook and entertain. Curious minds are always welcome at my table. Come say hello!
