Doughnut Meets Public Stack
Online conversation between Kate Raworth and Marleen Stikker about how their concepts are deeply interwoven
What is Doughnut Economics and Public Stack and how do those two concepts relate to each other? The creators of those concepts explored this question during the online webinar on 1 december 2021, hosted by the Amsterdam Doughnut Coalition and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
The conversation starts with a little background about the Doughnut Economy as a regenerative and distributive vision of a 21st century economy, and Public Stack - a collection of open, fair and safe technology alternatives. The conversation is followed by a little discussion about how the two concepts relate to each other and how they can be put into action in their work as Professors of Practice at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Finally, the design traits - Purpose, Networks, Governance, Ownership and Finance - are explored which are crucial to the important economic and social transformations of our time.
