Doughnut Economics and climate in MENA (Arabic)
An online event as part of a journalism workshop program on climate change in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
Réseau Tanmo شبكة تنمو and the Greenish Foundation (Egypt) held a series of online seminars on environmental and climate justice topics between March and December 2023, as part of a journalism workshop program on climate change and environmental risks in the Middle East and North Africa (supported by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation).
These webinars have now been translated into Arabic and posted on Réseau Tanmo شبكة تنمو's YouTube channel, including a 30-minute presentation followed by Q&A with the DEAL Team's Andrew Fanning held in June 2023.
Andrew introduces Doughnut Economics concepts and tools, discusses research on historical responsibilities for climate change, and shares examples from cities and regions putting them into practice worldwide. Watch the 1-hour webinar recording embedded below (with Arabic translations), along with Andrew's slides available to download as a PDF.
