I studied urban management and development with a specialization in Economics and a master's degree in Urban Management, Sustainability, and Climate Change. I possess a holistic approach that enables me to analyze, develop, and address challenges in a unique manner. With seven years of experience in diverse fields spanning the private and public sectors, I have gained a comprehensive perspective. Throughout my career, I have worked on various topics, including sustainable mobility, socio-economic and financial assessment, risk assessment, project evaluation, research, urban planning, and sustainability from different stakeholder viewpoints. This breadth of experience equips me with a well-rounded approach to tackling challenges, problems, and projects. Two years ago, I made the decision to pursue my dream of acquiring further knowledge in the field of sustainability. This led me to choose the Netherlands as the destination for my master's studies. Embarking on this path required a considerable leap in my professional journey, and while it was not an easy decision to start anew, my dedication to contributing to the creation of a more sustainable world remains unwavering. Upon learning about the DEAL community and the specific role it offers, I was immediately captivated by the prospect of bridging the gap between theory and practice. Recognizing the significance of collaboration with key stakeholders, including businesses, cities, academia, and citizens. I consider that it is imperative that we take actionable steps to reduce adverse impacts on the environment and cultivate awareness of the planet's limits. This awareness is crucial for informing decision-making processes on a global scale, all from a sustainability perspective.

Hello, I'm Francine, I like to think of myself as a circular thinker. This mindset has brought me curiosity and encouraged me to question conventional thinking. My eagerness for knowledge has provided me with opportunities to challenge the conventional linear patterns we often follow as a society. Doughnut Economics book was one of those wake-up calls. As an expert in sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies, I co-founded Conexus.Earth in Australia, a consultancy that guides businesses to track their sustainability/ESG commitments with powerful methodologies and tools to build the journey to make actions. I strongly believe that when we align methodologies and tools, we have the power to transform ideas into impactful actions. It's about picking up a pencil and drafting out fresh insights, connecting all the dots across environmental, social, and governance aspects in a collaborative way. The Doughnut Economics methodology can unleash our collective potential and create magic. Join the DEAL community brings to me the gift of connecting with like-minded individuals. Together, we can rewrite the traditional linear notion of growth into a balanced, interconnected ecosystem that promotes planetary well-being and a society with equal opportunities for all.

I'm a marketing and digital consultant with 20 years of experience in marketing/communications and 6 in sustainability. I support changemakers that accelerate the transition to a future where people thrive in balance with the living world. I do this via mentoring, leading, steering, overseeing, advising on or evaluating: - Marketing/digital marketing/social media strategies, campaigns, projects and operating plans that improve effectiveness - with the right resources, skills, governance and stakeholder alignment. - Digital marketing audit of channels, platforms, technology, skills or providers against objectives, best practice, competitors or regulation such as the Green Claims Code. - Marketing technology (effective, responsible, ethical use). - Building, bonding, growing, retaining and developing marketing/digital talent and functions. Over the past year, I've been doing research to understand what the most impactful ways are for addressing the intersecting crisis we’re facing (climate, ecology, economy, mental health, etc.) - so I can focus my energy there. Doughnut Economics has stood out as one of the most holistic solutions. I have read the book (and related resources) a few times, watched and attended DEAL workshops and sessions at events. I have also been spreading the word about Doughnut Economics and trying to embed it in my work. Particularly interested in: and joining up marketing and DE

I'm a project manager and map-maker. I've worked a lot with different types of data, especially in the Open Data space (using data that is publicly available). In recent years this has led me to an interest in sustainability in road traffic systems within Europe and towards sustainability in the more general sense. I have recently managed a couple of sustainable house renovation projects (reuse of materials, improving insulation and recycling building materials) and I'm working on editorial and curating projects in Italy, valorizing the cultural heritage.

I am Brazilian and I live in the Atlantic Forest in the Southeast region of the country, in Vale do Paraíba - between Serra da Mantiqueira and Serra do Mar. I have been a sustainabilityist for 20 years and I have been working with communication and socio-environmental education since then. Regeneration, nature, forests, conservation, climate, communication, humanism, socialtechnology are some of the topics that interest me. A few years ago, I was very interested when I found out about the book Donut Economy and bought it to learn more about this dimension of sustainability. I recently found the Donut Brasil whatsapp group and joined in early 2022, when I had the opportunity to participate in the Reading Club to study the book's chapters and, since then, I've been learning, unlearning, exchanging and getting inspired about the thoughts, doings and relevant local and planetary issues that lead us to distributive and regenerative economies...

I run a boutique circular economy and sustainability consultancy in Australia, but support clients globally. Our goal is to have as significant positive impact on the worlds challenges such as the material transition and value chain decarbonisation. I utilise the planetary boundaries framework in my assessments but am wanting to transition this to the doughnut framework to highlight to companies the positive and negative impacts they are contributing to.

Expeditie 02050 helps the province of Limburg on its way to a sustainable model of existence in which people, animals and nature flourish. I encourage SMEs and other organizations in Limburg to integrate sustainability into their business strategy/design. Together we determine the sustainable direction, realization and rules of the game. Very practical, accessible, step by step and with lots of positive impact. The Doughnut Design for Business is a wonderful tool to facilitate this. I cannot wait to bring it into practice and share my experiences with you.

Lifelong interest in the environment and how we fit within the biosphere. Discovered the concept of Doughnut Economics while studying for my Masters degree, incorporating it into my thesis. DE brings both optimism - showing us how we can live good lives without damaging our natural world - and urgency to create change.

For over 8 years I was building a "predestined" career in hospitality thanks to certain pressures from our family business. After years of yearning for a purpose and a more fulfilling career & lifestyle, I recently "greenquit" my job in luxury hospitality and started working at a cleantech company in Norway. I've been increasingly intrigued and inspired by learning about climate science, degrowth, circular economy and frankly any topic related to a more sustainable future. Of course it wasn't long until I heard about Doughnut Economics. Since this shift, I've been motivated and excited to understand the challenges that ail our society & environment, and find ways to contribute to the solutions required to overcome them.
