Manuel S. Sand is a professor of Outdoor Sports and Adventure Management at the University of Applied Management in Treuchtlingen, Germany. His research interests include adventure tourism, mountain bike tourism, well-being and adventure activities, nature protection and outdoor sports and the effects of experiential learning in the outdoors.

As initiator, founder and research director of the , I deal with the transfer of the doughnut to the #sport #sector. The doughnut has been playing an increasingly important role in our collegial exchange for some time now. Now we want to systematically address the adaptation of the doughnut to the sport sector and use this as the basis for a #holistic and both horizontally and vertically scalable #model of in sport.
