I am always seeking to contribute to more regenerative/sustainable, ethical, and eco-socially just world. Doughnut Economics excites and inspires me for its potential to transform cities!
My career journey has taken me into multiple sectors (technology, tourism, urban planning, academia, community non-profit, arts), but in all this work I have never strayed from my focus on socio-ecological justice. I am a hybrid cultural anthropologist / geographer who is building awareness of inclusive and regenerative tourism and placemaking in cities, with strategies focused on benefitting (versus exploiting) local communities (and the environment). I have a particular interest in addressing the enduring legacies of colonialism and imperialism.
As an aside, I've also conducted in-depth research on Miami, Florida's Little Havana neighborhood, where I still offer (private) walking tours with a critical lens ...
