Stockholm DEAL workshop (Past)
The first interactive workshop in Stockholm in Swedish.
Please Note: This event has now finished and can no longer be joined.
Are you also beginning to question whether eternal growth can really be combined with a sustainable world? Have you heard about Donut Economics/ the Donut Model and want to learn more? Come and join us for the first Stockholm workshop "Step into the doughnut" on the evening of January 14!
During the workshop you will learn about Donut Economics/ The Donut Model in an interactive and experiential way! The model is about how we can meet everyone's needs, without destroying the only planet we have.
Together with others, you will have the opportunity to reflect on what you really care about in your life, in your organization and in the world. The workshop will help you see how your thoughts connect with other people's ideas about what we need to care about - both socially and ecologically. The donut model shows how intertwined different challenges and crises are in this time in which we live. By jointly spending time with others to think about how the world's challenges are connected, we can find better ways to deal with them and work for an inclusive society within the planet's borders.
Address: Palme Center, Sveavägen 68, Stockholm. The event will be in Swedish.
Hope to see you on January 14th!

Associate professor in immunology trying to fid out how I best can contribute to solving the worlds most pressing issues and current challenges. As a biologist I am very concerned about the climate changes and decreased biodiversity, but also believe that human intelligence have the potential to correct the current trajectory - if our collective mindset wants to. Energy and time need to be included in the models we create to understand the world, which is why I really like the doughnut economics model.

I have been working as a mechanical design engineer since 2016. For most part of this time, I have been in the renewable energy sector, designing solar cell production machines and a wave energy converter. In the first week of 2025, I started to realize that green growth is not the answer to the problems we have today. We need to use renewables but that’s not enough. Me understanding that our economic system’s endless pursuit for growth was the epic underlying factor for many of our big problems we have today was transformative to me. The donnought economy and other well being economies resonates with me. I want to be a part of making them into a reality.

I want to catalyse action for companies and individuals. Currently working at the company South Pole as a consultant in Environmental Impact Accounting. I'm active in the organisation Climate Fresk since four years, and through which I've facilitated around 40 workshops and held a few trainings. In my free time I develop www.reconnect.earth together with my partner. Even though climate issues lie closest to my heart and even though I've been active in the environmental space since 2008, I increasingly learn about social issues, realising that we need to make sure the transition to a future is by design.
