Riga Doughnut City Portrait
Presentation of the Riga City Doughnut Portrait.

Cities are key to achieving the European Green Deal targets, which aim for a 55% reduction in emissions by 2030 and full climate neutrality by 2050. As part of its journey toward a sustainable and climate-neutral future, Riga Municipality, alongside several other European cities, has joined the EU Mission on '100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030'. These cities are acting as experimentation and innovation hubs to enable all European cities to follow suit by 2050.
During this event, the Doughnut Economics concept will be introduced, and the results of the Riga City Doughnut Portrait will be presented. This report was developed as part of the “A Doughnut Economics Approach to Sustainable Decarbonization and Citizen Engagement” (SEED) project, which is a part of the NetZeroCities Pilot Cities Programme - Cohort 2.
Event is organized in collaboration with REGENALYZE.
This is a hybrid event, and you can join us either online or in person at the Circular Economy Centre Sadarbnica (address: Krišjāņa Valdemāra street 145, K-1, Riga, Latvia).
