March DE Grassroots Global Connections (1 of 2) (Past)
Connecting as a global community of grassroots DE practitioners to nurture our individual and collective practice

Please Note: This event has now finished and can no longer be joined.
Doughnut Economics (DE) ideas and tools are being used by a diverse global community of local community organisers/connectors and network conveners/weavers exploring what it means to bring the ideas and tools of Doughnut Economics to their communities and their place, in service of a thriving future for all.
We meet online on the third Thursday of every month at both 09:00 and 16:30 UK time. It is an open space for introductions, community updates, raising questions and sharing reflections. The sessions are 90 minutes, but you are welcome to join for an hour or whatever you can manage. You are also welcome to join as a one-off and there is no commitment required.
In addition to the monthly connection sessions, there is a parallel Slack Workspace for asynchronous conversation that you are also welcome to join, where practitioners share questions, reflections and coalesce around emerging topics of interest, such as sustainable funding, Doughnut Portraits and communal ownership of land.
If you would like to join a monthly connection session, please email Rob Shorter rob@doughnuteconomics.org (session facilitator) to share a little bit about your context, your interest in DE and whether you have any access requirements.
Thanks for taking the time to read and consider these invitations, and if this sounds like something you'd like to join, we look forward to hearing from you.

Hello community my name is Monica Zazueta and I am a concerned mum to two beautiful boys and a climate activist. I am involved with multiple different climate and social justice organizations: Alliance for Community Engagement, League of United Latin American Citizens, Citizens Climate Lobby, Beyond Fossil Fuels Force task force, Sierra Club lobbying team, Sierra Club Political Committee, Declare Emergency, Save Vancouver Trees, Washington Environmental Council, Washington State Electric Vehicle Advisory Committee, I am a graduate of Puget Sound Sage Leadership Institute and I am working on a Victory Garden Project with my fellow activist friends. I am very excited to change the paradigm and continue on this path to mature in the best ways. Thank you everyone for everything that you do. Caring is the new way.
