Groups and networks gathering: Engaging with the people of your place (Past)
Part of a series of gatherings for place-based groups and networks working with Doughnut Economics
Please Note: This event has now finished and can no longer be joined.
In a zoom call recently someone I was meeting for the first time said “The essence of Doughnut Economics is inviting people in”, and we've certainly found that there's a particular quality about the Doughnut that people find inviting.
In this gathering we’ll look at the many ways groups and networks around the world are already engaging with the people of their place through inviting methods and approaches, so that more and more people can become part of the conversation to reimagine and transform their place.
The gathering is for anyone already part of a group or network or anyone looking to create or join a group or network to apply the ideas of Doughnut Economics in their place. If you would like to join, please complete this registration form and we'll send you the zoom details.
Note that this event is repeated for both Asia and Americas time zones to enable people from across the world to participate. For details of all events in the series of gatherings, visit the events page.

Helping create a life of freedom, equal opportunity and a shared responsibility for our planet is at the heart of my why. This has led to choosing social entrepreneurship, working on the transition to the doughnut economy. The doughnut economy feels like home to me. It is the world I want to live in. I have not encountered any other metaphor, framework or model that - to me - feels so complete. Within it everything I find important fits.

As part of my professional life, I always have been interested and working in conservation. At this time I am interested in the ecological integrity of the Swannanoa River Valley where I live, and the socio-economic well-being of its inhabitants. I have been trying to develop some initiatives as Cool Rivers Forever (@riversforever in Facebook and Twitter) and Sustainable Life Global (https://sites.google.com/view/slifeglobal/home).
