Doughnart! (Past)
A co-creative event to explore bringing Doughnut Economics to life through art
Please Note: This event has now finished and can no longer be joined.
We certainly have! And we know lots of the DEAL Community have too.
Painting, making, modelling, dancing, singing, sewing, stitching, printing, film-making... so much to explore.
So we'd like to invite you to this playful and co-creative event, where we'll be cultivating our collective imagination, exploring ideas in breakout groups and hopefully coming up with lots of artful ways to bring Doughnut Economics to life.
This will be DEAL's first co-creative event, and hopefully the first of many others across lots of other themes. So join us as we start this learning journey of what it is to co-create.
And everyone is welcome - you don't have to call yourself an artist to make art!

Bristol Artist-Led Forum (BA-LF) explores ways for the Bristol independent artists/artist-led sector to collaborate, share skills, resources, ideas, opportunities & co-commissions in order to support each other rather than to compete. BA-LF wishes to explore ways to bring the Bristol artists community together, promoting ideas of collaboration, connectivity, diversity, community building & well-being.

I'm a Berlin-based communications and digital media freelancer. I develop creative and strategic solutions to leverage digital environments and create social impact. Not limited to a specific medium, I focus on branding, strategy, content, and design for social media, video, photography, and websites. I lead the process from early conception to production through to distribution. I'm a Doughnut Economy enthusiast and passionate about environmental & social impact, sustainability, & startups. I'm always looking to connect with likeminded, inspiring individuals and for opportunities to collaborate and make a change the digital way.

Elizabeth Soubelet, co-founder of Ma Bonne Etoile (www.squiz.co) and Board Member of B Lab France I'm originally from Austin, Texas. A trained midwife and mother of 5 children, I took a turning point in my life in 2014 when I decided to launch an entrepreneurial impact project with my life partner, Nicolas. Together, we created Ma Bonne Etoile with the goal of raising awareness and helping as many people as possible take concrete steps towards a waste-free AND fair future. Our first product, Squiz reusable food pouches, was a great success with French families looking for alternatives to the "single-use lifestyle". Ma Bonne Etoile was one of the first companies in France to be certified B Corp in 2015 and I am an elected member of the board of directors of the association that supports this movement locally, B Lab France.

A career ranging across the corporate sector, government and not-for-profit organisations and the personal fortune of exploring the planet along the way has led me to my natural home in environmental sustainability. I am heavily involved in the development of circular economy models for packaging and resource recovery, and the Doughnut Economics approach offers a new lens through which to examine the benefits of the circular economy.
