Hello, I'm Myriam Best, welcome to my profile ! As a core team member of the Swiss Donut Economics Network, I am committed to making the doughnut a reality in Switzerland. My contribution focuses on advocacy, communication and consulting for public and private actors. A few words about my journey thus far ... The unfolding social, environmental and climate crises have led me to rethink my personal and professional aspirations. A slow and complex process, accelerated by motherhood in times of the gloomy outlook synthesised by the IPCC reports. 2022 was a pivotal year that took me back to university, 15 years after my first Master's degree! Guided by a burning need to dedicate my skills, time and energy to making the world a better, fairer and more livable place for all, I joined the Masters in Degrowth: Ecology, Economy and Politics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In doing so, I equipped myself with the best available knowledge on the causes of the social, environmental and climate crises, and delved into the discovery of post-growth economics and politics as a plausible way out of the polycrisis. More importantly, I joined an international network of committed change-makers! I am also a professional with 15 years of international corporate and client consulting experience in strategy, human resources, change management, digitalisation and organisational design. I have successfully led complex transformation programmes in international corporations and SMEs across a range of sectors. Former colleagues and clients praise my ability to make the complex accessible, to engage people of all backgrounds and to remain cool under pressure while keeping spirits high.  Happy to be in touch! Hello! I'm Anna-Marie, an organisational ecologist and embodied facilitator. I currently describe my work as being that of an organisational ecologist and embodied facilitator. After authoring the reimagined story of ecological organisations and the accompanying Ecological Organisations Framework in 2023, released under creative commons, a whole new world has opened up that I'm loving exploring: organisations as edge-less, of relationship, deeply relational, and firmly entangled in social systems, ecosystems, and planetary health. To evolve that work, I founded the Patreon-hosted Ecological Organisations Constellation. Here, we gather around the story of ecological organisations and look to mature it, ground it, evolve our understanding of it and relationship with it, and bring those learnings into wider commons. It's becoming a container for practical, lived experimentation, then integrating our discoveries into our individual and shared work. I write about my work and other things in the substack Cellular Rearranging and host and produce the podcast Generative Worlding. I initiated the first season of Facilitation Pods, now continuing as a commons under co-stewardship. In the pods, we are co-crafting an intimate space for self- and shared-enquiry about facilitation and how we change and are changed by the role, a space that's also become a peer supervision investigating our experiences.

Barcelona

My experience includes over twenty years in formal secondary education, fifteen years studying and writing on global justice and regenerative cultures, ten years in the field of Permaculture, during which time I founded and built up the Boodaville Association.  The Boodaville Association provides opportunities for learning about permaculture, ecology and designing regenerative cultures. We are developing a land project and demonstration site in the Matarranya region of Spain – 2.5 hours from Barcelona, and we coordinate EU projects with the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programs.  I am currently focusing on delivering in person Doughnut Economics workshops in English and Spanish in and around Barcelona and am interested in running teacher trainings, helping to develop educational activities and games, and supporting initiatives that get Doughnut Economics into formal education.
