DELVES – Doughnut Economics Localised Vital Engagement Strategy
**NOTE: The use of the DELVES model in 2021 by UN Youth (Vic) run as the Waves of Wellbeings program has resulted in 3 new wellbeing co-designed prototypes and the advancement of Beneficial Actualisation Theory : Please visit https://www.thecoast.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Benefical-Actualisation-Theory-Explained-2022-v5.pdf ** February 2022
Overview
DELVES is sense-making tool and methodology to gauge interest and to activate the Doughnut Economic model or support collective action strategies at a community and neighbourhood level. Communities of interest dig into to the doughnut’s ecological ceilings and social foundations using an experiential / transformative literacy process to uncover conditions that hold complex problems in place, shifting potential into existence and improving the odds of an intervention's success. DELVES enables everyone, everywhere to get actively involved in co-designing and implementing systems change prototypes that are relevant to local and cultural context and actionable within a place-based perspective.

For the past two years I've been studying the science of human collaboration and cooperation. I'm interested in building co-ops that are centered around doughnut economics. I'm interesting in building co-ops, in Los Angeles, for the donut economy.

Developing communities of practice and inquiry to link businesses and organisations interested in tackling the climate emergency through sustainable work practices. We envisage a hub bringing together like minded people and organisations, to act as a living lab, build and share good practice through projects and flourishing communities. Using our individual and collective agency to embed sustainable business models, circular design and supply chains and responsible management practices in an actionable, kind and ethical manner. Our projects link students, scholars and practitioners to build, test and embed MVPs (minimum viable products) that enable SMEs (Small to Medium Sized enterprises) to cut waste, design, build and deliver circular products and services. The ultimate aim of the hub, is to test approaches that can be replicated across the UK and Globally to help us to meet our UN Sustainable Development Goal commitments.
