My eyes lit up whenever I talk about learning and development. I like to call myself a bridge at the intersection of , , and . Currently, I'm leading a department in that focuses on creating curriculum for adult learners in public sector to build a , , and future. I have met a lot of professionals and leaders from various backgrounds and industries who are humble enough to keep learning and finding new ways to improve policy making. In , we believe that development should be done without sacrificing our mother earth. That's what brings me to DEAL community. I believe that this is the right community to learn about what constitute "growth". Can we grow without sacrificing the resources we take from the environment? Can we empower others to grow along the way? Those are questions I'm longing to answer.

Mateo Beauvineau is a rising senior who loves to fish, ski, hike, and camp in the mountains of Colorado where he grew up. He is passionate about protecting the environment and is exploring the field of environmental economics through the IB diploma program’s Extended Essay. He volunteers at the local hospital and leads an environmental and international impact club at his high school, the Fairview Institute. He raised $17,000 for an outdoor greenspace at his school, which expanded to a tree canopy, as well as upcycled solar panels into solar charging stations which were sent to schools and soldiers in Ukraine. Mateo hopes to study and environmental economics in college and likes learning useful skills.
