I am Brazilian and I live in the Atlantic Forest in the Southeast region of the country, in Vale do Paraíba - between Serra da Mantiqueira and Serra do Mar. I have been a sustainabilityist for 20 years and I have been working with communication and socio-environmental education since then. Regeneration, nature, forests, conservation, climate, communication, humanism, socialtechnology are some of the topics that interest me. A few years ago, I was very interested when I found out about the book Donut Economy and bought it to learn more about this dimension of sustainability. I recently found the Donut Brasil whatsapp group and joined in early 2022, when I had the opportunity to participate in the Reading Club to study the book's chapters and, since then, I've been learning, unlearning, exchanging and getting inspired about the thoughts, doings and relevant local and planetary issues that lead us to distributive and regenerative economies...

I'm a product management professional based in Seattle, WA, currently seeking to transition my career into the climate tech space. In late summer/early fall 2023, I participated in the Terra.do "Climate Change: Learning for Action" program, which was my first introduction to Doughnut Economics. At that time I was reflecting that "ever-increasing growth" as a primary success metric for companies seems not only unrealistic but tends to drive perverse incentives to generate more profit at the expense of employee morale and wellness. I wondered why companies have to perpetually grow -why can't a business be considered "successful" because it achieves and maintains a stable and sustainable level of profitability? I understand the unfortunate answer that our current economic system gives, but reading Doughnut Economics gave me hope that we can move towards a better system. I'm still very much learning about the various sectors within the climate space, but some key areas of interest for me are , , and .

Twenty eight years of professional experience in design and implementation of public policies and management instruments related with environment, natural resources, and protected spaces. Former member of public institutions and NGO, currently a member of the Board of Directors of the National Superintendence of Sanitation Services of Perú - SUNASS (www.sunass.gob.pe), ART Architecture for REDD Transactions (www.artredd.org) and Legado (www.legadoinitiative.org). I want to be part of a group that seeks to spread globally the urgency of knowing the situation that the planet is experiencing and the need to act based on that knowledge.
