Economy in Brazil.
Donut Brasil was created in May 2021 as a whatsapp group, counting already on more than
160 members. We have a diverse profile, with several Brazilian states represented,
embracing academics, students, consultants, NGOs, entrepreneurs and curious people
interested in new ways of thinking and living.
We acknowledge the presence of participants from various movements that share the Donut vision of a prosperous and just society, respecting the limits of the planet.
As volunteers, we organize ourselves into working groups around Strategy, Education, Communication and Projects and Actions, our main focus at the moment, to evolve inspired by the members´ demands, in tune with the enormous and plural socio-
environmental challenges at local and global scales.
What have we done? We created a group on Whatsapp and Discord, promoted regular meetings around related Doughnut themes, conducted the 1st book club, talks in conferences and universities, workshops in territories applying the methodology of the 4 lenses and we will soon launch our profile on Instagram.
What are we looking for? Recognize and integrate the group's intentions and vast knowledge and experience around common interests, creating communities of practice as diverse as academic exchanges, business support, application of impact tools in territories, or free learning.

I am Brazilian and I live in the Atlantic Forest in the Southeast region of the country, in Vale do Paraíba - between Serra da Mantiqueira and Serra do Mar. I have been a sustainabilityist for 20 years and I have been working with communication and socio-environmental education since then. Regeneration, nature, forests, conservation, climate, communication, humanism, socialtechnology are some of the topics that interest me. A few years ago, I was very interested when I found out about the book Donut Economy and bought it to learn more about this dimension of sustainability. I recently found the Donut Brasil whatsapp group and joined in early 2022, when I had the opportunity to participate in the Reading Club to study the book's chapters and, since then, I've been learning, unlearning, exchanging and getting inspired about the thoughts, doings and relevant local and planetary issues that lead us to distributive and regenerative economies...
