We are a community group in Cambridge who are working on the Cambridge Doughnut project. We are building relationships with local government and other key organisations to help deliver this vision for Cambridge and the local area as a more just and environmentally sustainable city.
We seek to adopt the Doughnut Economics approach ensuring all those who work and live in Cambridge and its surrounds have the ability to thrive - with access to nutritious food, decent housing and their needs are met - all this without surpassing the climate and ecological boundaries of the planet.
We are collaborating with the Resilience Web, who help foster place based community action by connecting local groups who are helping to bring about positive change. These connections allow us to work with existing networks and to amplify the principles and ideas of Doughnut Economics as we work towards a better future.

Alarmed by the over-tourism, I'm in search of a sustainable way to deal with it. All insights are very welcome.

I am a neurobiologist turned data engineer, who wants to bring my analytical/tech skills and biological background to drive the world towards a sustainable and socially progressive future. After reading Doughnut Economics, my tabula rasa was scrawled with ideas of what a sustainable economy could be. And I want to be part of creating it.

Hi! I'm a business and economics student at Lancaster University. Recently started a project with a friend of mine, Ph.D. student in macroeconomics, called Net Gain, where we explain the implications of new tech in the labour force in a newsletter format. I also work as an asset analyst for the university fund, where the assumption of indefinite growth plays a pivotal role in my analyses. It's challenging to consider investments in stocks that aren't expected to sustain perpetual growth. Hence, my aim here is to connect with like-minded individuals and collectively explore actionable solutions.

Hi All, I'm a student and activist at University College London. Running a student society, I seek to create events at UCL that discuss Doughnut Economics, raising the profile and thinking about the political transition required. Personally, I am a big fan of constitutional reform. I have experience working for cooperatives, engaging with New Economics thinking and working in sustainable communications. Feel free to reach-out!
