My BSc in marine biology is from UWI, Jamaica, and my MSc and PhD are from the University of Guelph, Canada. I also worked with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN (FAO), the CARICOM Fisheries Programme, the Caribbean Conservation Association and as a consultant. I began working on Caribbean Fisheries in 1981. I have been working on national and regional ocean governance in the Wider Caribbean and elsewhere for over 20 years.
