Gerard Corcoran leads Innovation and Research Partnerships, Medtech and Sportstech for Huawei Ireland Research Centre and was previously Senior Solutions Manager and Account Director for Huawei Enterprise Business Unit in Western Europe with responsibility for Smart and Safe Cities and Communities.
He is on the Smart Cities Task Force for Smart City Dublin, Smart Docklands, Smart Sandyford, Smart Belfast, TMForum and Dun Laoghaire and is a Board Member of Sandyford Business District.
He has over 40 years’ experience in the ICT industry with special focus on New and Emerging Technologies applied to the development of Smart and Sustainable Cities, Healthcare, Mobility and Energy including HMS, AI, 5G, IoT, AR/VR/MR, Blockchain and Genomics.
He is founder of ISOGG Ireland, the International Society of Genetic Genealogy, with 7K members in the Irish Diaspora of a total of 20K ISOGG members. He has presented at Genetic Genealogy events in Dublin, Belfast, Galway, London, Birmingham.
