I dedicated my final semester of Global Project and Change Management to supporting MasterPeace’s FoodPrint Project in developing an educational food ecolabel inspired by Doughnut Economics. This label is not intended for the commercial market but rather as a tool for engaging European youth in learning about food sustainability through a systems-thinking lense. It highlights what makes a food product (un)sustainable from ecological, human wellbeing and animal welfare perspectives.
To inform this project, my bachelor thesis focuses on identifying which sustainability criteria a food label should ideally cover to promote a food system that operates within planetary boundaries and upholds a just social foundation.
