Doughnut Economics About DEAL News & Updates Meet the DEAL Team Careers FAQ Wider Movement Contact UsI'm a Chartered Organisational Psychologist (AFBPsS) with Pario Surveys, based in the UK. I work with organisations to improve 'people analytics' - with a focus on transparency, equality and accountability. My new book 'Leadership Principles and Purpose' (Routledge 2024) is tightly referenced and links to 'Doughnut Economics'. The insights build on psychological research and insights from neuroscience, which expose the limitations of traditional economic theory. Most significantly, the advanced psychological models challenge neoliberal economists' misplaced notions of 'rational expectations' and 'bounded rationality'. The book identifies essential elements that underpin motivation and commitment, which are important for the development on economic theory. It also explores how future-focused leaders overcome the FELT Deficit. This is the pattern of 'rational analytic' thinking that dominates in such professions as Finance, Economics, Law and Technology.
