How can schools use the Doughnut Economics model to guide school sustainable development?
This webinar hosted by Sustainability Education's Case Study for Change series, explores how the Doughnut model can provide a clearer mission for school sustainable development, be used as a design tool for improving student and staff action, and enable various school actors to see the relationship of their diverse actions to the big picture.
There is a video and slides from the webinar the slides. In them, there is an overview of the importance of identifying a model for sustainable development for schools, and an explanation of how the four lenses of the Doughnut model can be used by schools to guide action in a holistic way. Concrete examples are given for the application of the model in Strothoff International School, a small International Baccalaureate school near Frankfurt, Germany.
