Doughnut Economics About DEAL News & Updates Meet the DEAL Team Careers FAQ Wider Movement Contact UsMy name is Ann-Kathrin Bernauer, I study sustainability management (M.Sc.) at University of Wuppertal, Germany. Currently, I am writing my master’s thesis, which covers social factors of mobility. I am looking for new opportunities as a changemaker.
There is a lot of research making clear that greenhouse gas emissions need to be reduced in the transportation sector in order to limit global warming of 1.5 °C above pre-industrial level. It exists less research regarding social factors in this context. I would like to analyse social impacts on a walking and cycling focused transportation strategy in urban areas (e.g. Copenhagen, Amsterdam). This, I am analysing from the perspective of the doughnut.
